The Large Courtyard is the only part of the Park to be modified according to the design of the famous garden architect František Thomayer. A path stretches along the ellipse parterre which ends with a stone fountain and the adjacent symmetrical rose beds. Along the parameter of the parterre woody plants and rhododendrons are planted. On the left side of the Large Courtyard, a path leads to the Romanesque church of the Virgin Mary Nativity, and beyond to the building of the Small Castle (a reconstructed Baroque brewery) with its neo-Renaissance facade and the main frontispiece over the passage to the Inner Courtyard.
