A guided tour with Pavel Sekerka, President of the Union of Botanical Gardens and head of the Průhonice Botanic Garden, about botanical gardens and their importance for biodiversity conservation. You will visit the botanical garden and its collections and learn more about plant conservation and preservation activities. Meeting point: 2:00 PM at the “Botanical Garden” entrance gate. GUIDED TOUR OF THE BOTANICAL COLLECTIONS – IRISES

A guided tour focused on tall bearded irises, which will be in full bloom at this time. Learn more about their origin and breeding and see varieties bred in the Czech Republic and in Průhonice. The tour will be led by collection curator Ing. Zuzana Caspers. Meeting point: 2:00 PM at the entrance to the botanical garden from Průhonice Park. Included in the park entrance fee

GUIDED TOUR OF THE BOTANICAL COLLECTIONS – HERBACEOUS PEONIES

A guided tour with curator Pavel Sekerka focused on herbaceous peonies. Learn more about their breeding history, biology and cultivation. Entrance through the “Botanical Garden” gate (Dobřejovická Street).

Open parts of the castle (this is not a group guided tour – you can visit the open rooms individually during the times below):
Knight’s Hall, Count’s Study, Cellar – 11:00 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Church – 12:00 a.m. –2 p.m.
Guided tour of Alpin Garden – 2 p.m. (meeting point: Small Courtyard).

WINE TRAIL IN PRŮHONICE PARK
June 20
Easy 6 km walk in the park with 15 wine stops. About 90 wines from winemakers from Čejkovice.
You can start anytime between 11:00 a.m. and 2 p.m. from the Main Entrance or Hájovna Entrance (according to your ticket). After 2 p.m. there is no registration or ticket sale. The event ends at 6 p.m. At each wine stop you can taste 6 wine samples. Tickets are limited.
Organized by Tábor Wine Festival.
