Ponderosa pine (Pinus ponderosa) also known as bull pine or western yellow pine, originates in North America, and is one of the rarest exotic pines. It is one of the tallest species of the pine family. Its dark green needles grow in fascicles of three and can reach up to 25 cm. When you rub them, they smell of oranges. On average, the egg-shaped cones measure 15 cm.
