Rhododendron 'Blanice'

This rhododendron (Rhododendron ‘Blanice’) belongs to the group of ‘Jelly Azaleas’, small-leaved semi-evergreen or evergreen rhododendrons that have a dense compact growth, often dwarf. “The ‘Jelinek azaleas’ were bred by Prof. Jan Jelinek in Průhonice around 1940 by crossing the Korean rhododendron (Rhododendron poukhanense) with the dwarf rhododendron (Rhododendron obstusum ‘Amoenum’).
