This small tree or medium-sized shrub is characterised by a regular, spherical crown. At maturity it grows to a height of about 2 m. Its autumn colouring is distinctive, ranging from a beautiful scarlet red to a purple shade. As the Cornus Florida grows in the wild, there can be variation in the colour of the flowers, which can range from pale pink to pinkish red.
