Amur maackia

The Amur maackia was planted in the Průhonice Park in 1910 and this specimen is one of the first plantings in Europe. In spring it blooms in a whitish silver tone. The young leaves are silver-grey. The flowers are whitish and form large racemose inflorescences. They bear flat pods. This specimen unfortunately suffered damage from heavy snow in the spring of 2016 but has successfully regenerated to its present form, gradually regenerating from the remnant trunk.
