Salvia nemorosa

Salvia nemorosa is a hardy herb with abundant flowers, native to central and south-eastern Europe. It likes a sunny location, cut it back after flowering and it will flower again in late summer or early autumn. Cut it back in early spring to encourage it to grow more vigorously. In our Rose Garden you can see the cultivar ‘Mainacht’, which has grey-green foliage and dark blue flowers, and the cultivar ‘Schneehügel’, which is prized for its elegant white flowers.
