Hydrangea sargentiana (Sargent’s Hydrangea) is a beautiful solitaire growing up to 2m tall. It impresses with its thick, thick, thickly covered with brownish – rusty hairs, its leaves are broadly ovate and roughly hairy. It blooms from July to late August with purple-blue flowers, the peripheral flowers are whitish. It is an original planting (1910) by Count Arnost Emenuel Silva-Tarouca.
