A few steps from the crossroad, the Main Viewpoint, one of the most attractive spots in the Park, opens up between ancient oak trees and their rhododendron undergrowth. The vista stretches across the Podalpinská meadow and the Podzámecký pond toward the Castle. In the opposite direction, a lookout closes the main vista which started at the Main terrace. The surroundings of the lookout are bordered with evergreen rhododendrons and other woody plants which were planted here for their year-round green colours rather than for their short-lived, albeit very impressive, flowers.
