Bottlebrush Buckeye

At the edge of the vistas over the Labeška pond, a shrub-like type of buckeye grows right by the path. It is the bottlebrush buckeye (Aesculus parviflora). It is broadly demi-circle in shape, with branches reaching down to the ground. It can reach up to 10 meters in diameter, but no more than 4 metres in height. The species blooms in July and August and besides its delicate white inflorescence, it is also interesting because of its yellow autumn foliage. It originates in the east of North America, where it creates vast shrub growths.
